SIKSIKA HIGH-SCHOOL SUMMER STUDENT PROGRAM/SIKSIKA POST SECONDARY SUMMER STUDENT PROGRAM (SSSEP)

The Siksika Summer Student Employment Program (SSSEP) creates summer employment opportunities for secondary, post-secondary, and adult education students. The program's goal is to provide the student with the opportunity to develop skills, gain valuable work experience, and help finance their return to school.

Siksika Employment and Training Services will provide summer student employment to successful applicants in positions that are tailored to their field of study.

Application deadline is in early April for both programs. Be sure to apply early!

SIKSIKA YOUTH PRE-EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS (YPEP)

Our Youth Pre-Employment Programs (YPEP) works in partnership with Canada Bridges (www.CanadaBridges.com) to provide youth with the opportunity to receive support as they explore options and make decisions for the future while developing life skills that will support their career paths, as well as enhance their future employability.

The program offers youth aged 18-30 to learn these skills in a classroom setting and than are placed with a company for the remainder of the program that is of their career interest.

YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTIVE PROGRAM

The Youth Employment Prospective Program (YEPP) is an of-campus education program that allows students in high school to earn credits for work experience and real world experience during the academic school year. Work experience courses provide opportunities for students to :

  • Experience employment first hand 

  • Enhance employability skills

  • Connect with employers and community

  • Discover career interests in meaningful work activities

  • A great work experience and positive employer relations to help build resume
