To provide opportunity to Siksika Nation members to develop the skills and certification in the inspection of Residential, Commercial and High-Rise structures (Assets).
Therefore, creating employment and business opportunities for nation members, and generate future interest in this industry.
HISTORY
Exceeding Expectations
SETS under SFSC corporate documents undertook the SCO program, and signed agreement with GOA in 2017. Generate interest for journeyman and skilled-tradespeople that meet the required prerequisites. The Initial goal to accommodate 25 participants, 20 were eventually showed interest. Effective, April 1, 2019, 17 participants in progress
In efforts to assist the participant’s success through their certification process, the SCO staff worked closely with the Safety Codes Council so that all parties involved agreed to create a study group concept vs online learning

In partnerships to ensure the highest safety codes are in place within our Siksika Nation residential, commercial and high-rise buildings, working together to enhance the importance of safety and strong infrastructure
